Sales Tax

On June 27 the voters of Killian approved the following proposition to levy and collection of a one percent (1%) sales and use tax for a period of ten (10) years, commencing October 1, 2026, upon the sale at retail, the use, the lease or rental, the consumption, and the storage for use or consumption, of tangible personal property and on sales of services in the Town, with the revenues of said tax to be allocated as follows: 50% to public safety and disaster management; 25% to maintenance and improvement of  infrastructure, roads and drainage; 10% to beautification and parks; and 15% to other legal purposes of the Town; and providing for other matters in connection therewith
